Example

October 2026 starts on a Thursday. With weeks starting on Monday, the first row begins on September 28.

February 2028 has 29 days, because 2028 is a leap year.

How it is calculated

Today is read from your device clock and highlighted. Week numbers follow ISO 8601 (weeks start on Monday, week 1 contains the first Thursday), so they are shown only when the week starts on Monday.

The calendar uses the Gregorian calendar for every year. For dates before the calendar was adopted (1582 in parts of Europe, much later elsewhere) it shows what the Gregorian rules would give, not the Julian dates used at the time.

Questions

Why are week numbers missing when the week starts on Sunday?

ISO week numbers are defined for weeks that start on Monday. Switching to Sunday would make them misleading, so the column is hidden.
